Camp Counselors must be motivated, creative, responsible adults over the age of 18 who are dedicated to ensuring that each child who attends camp experiences personal growth in a fun, safe, and educational environment. Requirements
Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years of age. Camp Counselors must be motivated to work with children, teens, and adults with disabilities in an outdoor environment. Must have current first aide and CPR certifications, certification will be provided by attending Camp Lotsafun Training.

Training
Due to the concern surrounding the specialized needs of children, teens, and adults with disabilities, Camp Lotsafun staff and volunteers participate in an intensive camp training that includes first aid, CPR, disability awareness, child development, and behavior management, personal care, camp policy and procedures, and counselor responsibility.

Compensation
Compensation depends on experience, length of service, and performance. Counselors are offered a stipend of $300 per 5 day session and $700 per 12 day session. In lieu of a stipend, counselors may donate to the Camp Lotsafun Scholarship Fund to provide an opportunity for a child who would otherwise not be able to attend camp.
